Meet The Teacher!
Mrs. Stephanie Bivens
Hello! My name is Stephanie Bivens and I teach 8th ELA and Desktop News. This is my 12th year teaching. My husband and I have two boys who we love to take camping. I graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville (Go Vols!) with a bachelor's degree in English literature and a Master’s in Middle Grades Education.
I love teaching ELA because there isn’t always one correct answer. We get to discuss and learn from each other. We work on reading, writing, and grammar in 8th grade, taking skills from previous years and going further in depth with texts and writing.
Some random facts about me are I LOVE iced coffee, October through December is my favorite time of year, I love the Hallmark Channel, I am a huge pop culture person (movies, TV, music), I like reading Young Adult literature so I can make recommendations to my students, and I love all this pumpkin spice.
