Meet The Teacher!

Mr. C Adam Henry

I was born and raised in Athens, TN where I attended North City Elementary School, Athens Junior High School and graduated McMinn County High School. Immediately following graduation, I began my military career in the U.S. Army where I had the opportunity to travel around the globe seeing three combat tours. My last assignment was as a Senior Instructor at an Intelligence School in Washington, DC. where I discovered my desire to transition into my civilian life as a teacher! After a full career, I retired and returned home to Athens where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in English Education at Tennessee Wesleyan University. I began my teaching career with the 2018-19 school year as a 7th grade English Language Arts teacher at SJHS.

I currently live close to my family in Athens with my wife, Amy. I have two grown sons – Christian, who lives in Georgia and Matthew living in Athens.
