Meet The Teacher!

STEAM Club Advisor
My goal for this school year is to integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) into the classroom curriculum and align it with content-area standards (especially science). A STEAM curriculum is necessary to help students identify real world problems and promote higher order thinking skills. STEAM is important in developing 21st century skills so that students will want to pursue careers in the technological world. I want students to develop an interest in STEM careers and to be successful while training towards these careers after graduating from high school.
During the first nine-weeks of school students will learn the engineering design process (EDP) and be engaged in design challenges and missions. Life science standards will also be explored during this time frame.
STEAM students will conduct research, engage in construction, robotics and coding, circuitry, and other technology.
